WHY ARE YOU ONLY COVERING THE YEARS 1890 TO 1920?

We had to start somewhere and considering that there have been many millions of people who have passed away we thought that by concentrating on a range of specific years we might actually achieve some semblance of a meaningful database one day. Our goal is to provide a reasonable possibility that when a search is made something of interest might be found. We know that this will take some time to achieve but we are dedicated to adding new items on a regular basis. We also thought that the years 1890-1920, spanning the turn of the century, would be an interesting historical backdrop. Gunslingers and flappers, the birth of powered flight, WWI, etc. |

DO YOU EVER BUY OBITUARIES?

Sure. If they are from the period we cover we would be interested talking with you. We have some associates we work with on a regular basis. We also accept contributions. If you have a collection and would like to help other family historians who are researching your family name send us what you have and we will get them indexed and in our database. |

WHAT IF THERE ARE DUPLICATE S-CREDIT SUBMISSIONS?

We closely track all of the items that are entered into our database and are able to determine if a submission is a duplicate of one that we already have on file. Only the first submission for a particular name, from any particular publication, on any specific publication date shall qualify for an S-Credit. It is possible that an item for a particular person appeared in two different publications and if that were the case, both would be represented in the database and each would qualify for an S-Credit. You are welcome to check with us in advance regarding the name and dates of the publication you intend to extract items from. |
